BHRT Pellet Therapy
Hormone pellets are a specific form of delivery for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy that uses tiny pellets inserted just under the skin. The pellets slowly release natural forms of estrogen and/or testosterone into the body to balance hormones. Pellets are inserted by a medical professional in-office once every 3-4 months. A numbing agent is used, and the procedure is quick and painless – about 15 minutes total. This is a great option for a patient who does not want to have to think about treating themselves from home daily or weekly (see below options).
Not all pellets are made the same – beware of cheap, unnatural options! At TBTW, we take pride in using Belmar pellets. These are made without synthetic binders (like stearic acid) which some pellet manufacturers add to their product. BHRT Topical Creams
