January and February are the perfect months to schedule your laser treatments for glowing skin and a smooth body come swimsuit season. The holidays and big winter events are over, and most people plan on spending minimal time in the sun during these colder winter months. Even in Florida, most of us are not going to the beach or pool, which are no-no’s after laser treatments. It is also a great time of the year to start your laser hair removal, as it takes several months to complete a package that results in little to no hair regrowth.

Broadband Light (BBL) therapy and BBL HERO deliver a broad spectrum of light wavelengths to target various skin concerns. BBL works to enhance and brighten your complexion by treating skin concerns and stimulating your body’s production of collagen.  BBL stands out for its versatility in addressing issues such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, vascular lesions, and acne. With customizable settings, it can be tailored to suit individual needs, providing precise and effective results. This is a great time of year to erase previous sun damage and age spots in advance of the sunny summer season.

One of the biggest perks of the BBL Hero/MOXI combination is that there is hardly any true “downtime” after the treatment other than avoiding direct, intense sun exposure.  Facial laser clients should avoid sweat and excessive exercise for the first 24 hours and avoid makeup until your skin flakes (usually 5-7 days). BLL Hero, MOXI, and HALO laser treatments all require you to be out of the sun for at least two full weeks before and after the treatment. Avoiding sun exposure before facial laser treatments is important because sun damage makes your skin more sensitive to heat, which can lead to hyperpigmentation, increased risk of burns, and could potentially compromise the treatment and complicate the healing process. This is why this is the perfect time of year to get this treatment.

Our laser hair removal is quick and painless. Numbing cream is optional before treatment, and most individual areas can be lasered in under ten minutes. There is no downtime associated with laser hair removal other than avoiding excessive sweat, swimming, tanning beds, and direct sun exposure for 48 hours. Again, this is the perfect time of year to begin these treatments because there is a lower likelihood of sun exposure and swimming, and because each treatment should be spaced 4 weeks apart. How many treatments until the hair regrowth stops is dependent on the individual, but most clients need 3-4 treatments to see results, and at least 8 for the hair to not grow back.

Laser treatments have an amazing impact on the skin. They can be done on the face and body in order to address hyperpigmentation, reduce pore size, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and much more. For best results, one should have multiple treatments per year spaced out according to your provider’s recommendation. The next six weeks is a great time to schedule a BBL, BBL Hero/MOXI, HALO, and laser hair removal: do your minimal downtime now at home under blankets on your couch to reveal fresh, glowing skin come spring!
